Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes what information AffirmationGram ("we," "us," "our") collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. Plain language first; legalese only where it keeps you protected.

1. What we collect

  • Account info: email address (required to sign in), display name if you provide one, and a phone number if you opt into phone-channel delivery.
  • Content you submit: recipient names, occasion picks, the optional "make it land" topic note, and the resulting generated lyrics and video files.
  • Billing info: handled by Stripe. We store a Stripe customer ID and subscription status. We never see or store your card number.
  • Usage events: which pages you viewed, which buttons you clicked, and anonymized performance metrics, via Google Tag Manager.

2. Why we collect it

  • To deliver the singing telegram you paid for.
  • To honor your subscription cadence (daily affirmations).
  • To bill you correctly and issue receipts.
  • To improve the product — bard preference, drop-off points, error rates.
  • To comply with law (CAN-SPAM footer, TCPA phone consent, tax reporting).

3. Who we share it with

  • Stripe — for billing.
  • Resend — for transactional email (your telegram arrives via Resend).
  • Twilio — for phone delivery if you've opted in.
  • Our hosting providers (Vercel, Firebase) — to run the service. They act under contract; they do not repackage or resell your data.

We do not sell your data. We do not share recipient lists with marketers. When you send a telegram to a friend, your friend's info is used to deliver the telegram and for nothing else.

4. Retention

Delivered telegrams stay on the /g/[id] share page indefinitely unless you delete your account. Account deletion removes your personal data within 30 days, except records we're required to keep for accounting (~7 years).

5. Your choices

  • Unsubscribe from daily affirmations — every email has an unsubscribe link. One click.
  • Cancel your subscription — in your account page, routed to Stripe Customer Portal.
  • Delete your account — email bard@affirmationgram.com and we'll process it within 30 days.
  • Report a telegram — the "Report" button on any /g/[id] page. Anonymous or signed-in. We review every one.
